Terms of Service
Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Who we are
AI Shipping Labs ("we", "us", "our") is a community platform operated by DataTalks.Club, Schönensche Str. 13, 10439 Berlin, Germany (VAT No. DE343190995). You can reach us at contact@aishippinglabs.com.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, subscribing to a paid tier, or otherwise using aishippinglabs.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide an accurate email address and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Membership tiers and payment
The Service offers a free tier and three paid tiers (Basic, Main, Premium). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in euros via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with reasonable notice; existing subscriptions are billed at the price in effect at the start of the current period.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until that date. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law (including the EU consumer right of withdrawal where it applies).
6. Content and conduct
The Service includes content we publish (articles, recordings, courses, downloads) and content contributed by members (project submissions, comments, Slack messages, poll proposals).
- You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service.
- You agree not to post content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful, and not to use the Service to spam, scrape, or attack other users.
- We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Content we publish on the Service is protected by copyright and made available to you for personal use as a member. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish our paid content without written permission. Member-contributed content remains the property of its author.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Slack (community), GitHub and Google (OAuth login), Amazon SES (email), and Zoom (live events). Use of those services is subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the educational content is for informational purposes only — it is not professional advice. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, liability for intent or gross negligence).
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. Exclusive jurisdiction for disputes is the courts of Berlin, Germany, where permitted by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email or by an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
