How to Join AI Engineering Buildcamp
How to join AI Engineering Buildcamp: individual enrollment, team discounts, company L&D budgets, student discounts, PPP pricing, and scholarships.
AI Engineering Buildcamp is a hands-on program for engineers who want to build production-ready AI systems: RAG pipelines, agents, and applications that run in real environments. Participants come from different backgrounds and regions, and the way they join varies: some enroll on their own, others with a team or through their employer, and some with the help of scholarships or adjusted pricing. This article explains the main ways to join and how you can use them.
1. Join as an Individual Participant: Ways to Fund Your Participation
The most straightforward way to join the Buildcamp is to enroll as an individual.
The following options are available:
Use Your Company Learning Budget
Many companies offer learning and development (L&D) budgets for employees. These budgets are often used to cover the cost of professional training programs. If your company supports continuing education, you can request that the course be paid through your training budget.
Many participants successfully get the course covered this way, especially when they frame it as professional development in AI engineering skills that directly benefit their work.
To get started:
- Review the expense process: Read the Maven expense guide for submitting the course as a company expense
- Request approval: Use this template email to request approval from your manager
Student Discount
If you are currently enrolled in a university or academic program, you may be eligible for a reduced course price.

Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Pricing
Course prices can vary significantly relative to local income across different countries. To improve accessibility, purchasing power parity (PPP) pricing is available for participants from regions where the standard course fee would be disproportionately high.

Scholarships: Full and Partial
Each cohort offers full and partial scholarships for participants who would not otherwise be able to join. The regular course fee is $1,799 USD; scholarship recipients may receive partial or full coverage. A new scholarship application form opens before each cohort.
Competition for full scholarships is extremely high. For the previous cohort, there were more than 2,500 applications. Applicants who can cover part of the course fee typically have a higher chance of receiving support; partial scholarships allow the program to distribute limited funds across more participants. If you are passionate about advancing your AI engineering skills and making an impact, you are encouraged to apply.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on motivation, potential impact, and commitment to applying and sharing what they learn.
For the upcoming cohort, you can apply for a scholarship until March 30, 2026.
2. Join as a Team and Save 20%+
If several people from the same company or group want to take the course together, you can register as a team. Teams receive 20%+ off the course price. This option works well for engineering teams learning AI together, groups of colleagues experimenting with LLM applications, or communities organizing a shared learning cohort. Learning together also helps participants stay accountable and collaborate on assignments.
To use this option, select "Save 20%+ with a team" on the course page.
